Lovely place. Very clean and friendly reception staff
Brilliant interesting place ... and an excellent informative museum.
Had a wonderful day with the family here. Shown round by the incredibly knowledgable and friendly volunteer guide Ian and chatted to the lovely Bob in the museum too. Didnt realise just how much history Croydon airport had to offer!Great collection of photos and a small array of artefacts. The building itself and the tour is worth visiting for, takes about 45 mins. The tours runs the last Sunday of each month I believe, so plan ahead. (They should improve the website a little as the info isnt great on there...) We took our baby boy with us in the baby carrier and it was very doable with him. We also went for afternoon tea in the Hallmark hotel next door which had a Groupon offer on!
A nice place to visit. Interesting things on display and informative posters. The volunteers are really helpful, welcoming, and knoedgeable. Some of them actually worked at the airport when it was opened and they are happy to share their stories if you ask. There is a very informative tour as well. The museum is only open the first Sunday of every month so plan accordingly.
A wonderful guide to the world's first international airport and it's control tower.
