Can't understand the negative reviews left by some people, we just used them for our move to Kent and they was really helpful conscientious nothing was too much trouble just absolutely fantastic people and made what can be a stressful time go smoothly, also reasonable prices, 5 Stars
Very quick and efficient at pricing the job up - reasonably priced and reassured us that all items would be safe. No problem too big or small....then it came to the move.Glass furniture was damaged; admitted liabilty for one piece, but they hid another until after they had left. When challenged about this admitted liability and reassured us that they were fully insured and that we would be reimbursed swiftly. All the while my partner was 9 months pregnant and they knew the furniture was going into a small childs room (this is the broken furniture that was hidden from us until departure).3 months later, after dodging emails and phonecalls and being given every story you can think of, we were forced to take them to small claims court. A CCJ was issued and they paid HALF of the claimed amount...pushed this further and finally after 6 months got a full pay out of our claim.For a company that has traded for over 20 years the way we were treated and fobbed off was disgraceful. Be very wary and be prepared to check all your items before the job is finished.
I have used Garrards three times now and their service is second to none. Quite simply care and consideration taken, skilled and strong staff, superb packing and care taken with everything from 400 year old antiques to pots and pans from the kitchen. They are small enough to really care and big enough to handle the most complex of moves in the South London area, nationally and internationally too.I have recommended them to friends and they too have called to thank me for my introduction. Thank you Malcom and your team - I will be in touch for move number 4 in 18 months. Anyone reading this - do yourself a favour and save yourself a lot of hassle and call them for your move.
We recently contacted this company for a quote to move things in our 2 bedroom flat.After questioning the price I was called fat ugly and rude. This is no way to speak to a client in any situation. I would not recommend even speaking with this company.
