Been there more than I should have really!! due to the fact there is not much better on this part of town. They have been her for a very long time and over the year they have managed to build up a consistent restaurant clientele that keeps going back for the food on offer and the consistent good service......Good Food, Very friendly Staff, good ambiance delivered with the minimum effort. Not an eatery to rush back but guaranted you get what you pay for.
The restaurant seemed nice inside, if not lacking space between tables. I ordered the lasagna and when it originally arrived the plate was swimming in, which the majority of my table agreed was oil. The lasagna was initially nice but before after 3 mouthfuls I it was cold! I asked for my food to be warned up and when it returned the oil had gone but the lasagna had been diced up and was so hot that it burnt my mouth! Considering it was 14/15 and 8 for a pint... Needless to say that I won't be returning.
Lovely food and big portions too! A great place for celebrations. The staff made a fuss of my mum on her birthday. She loves Bagatti's.
I've been going to Bagatti's from time to time for 25 years. It's consistently great - the food is lovely and the staff are charming. It's always got a good atmosphere and everyone is welcome, whatever their age. It's a family owned and run business and I think that adds to its charm because the people there really care. I've been to Bagatti's for birthday celebrations, New Year's Eve, quiet lunches and evening meals over the years and I've never had a disappointing experience.
My husband found Bagatti's through Google and it's as good as the reviews say. The food was excellent (we had mussels, mozzarella balls, seafood ravioli, prosciutto pizza), and generous portions. The pizza was like the ones we've had in Italy. The waitress was very attentive too, nothing was too much of an ask. We'll definitely be back :)
