Booked an appointment for my son, they changed the appointment and didn't make me nor my son aware. They then refused to re-booked. Awful place!
After reading the reviews I was extremely worried about visiting my dentist today as i hadnt been in a year. I visited today due to some soreness (which I found out was caused by wisdom teeth coming through) everything from when i arrived to when I left was perfect. Everyone was warm and friendly. I even got seen 10minutes before my appointment time! (Which was an emergency appointment that they found space to fit me in) My dentist was lovely and I've never felt so at ease, she explained everything clearly to me and did everything she could (If not more) to help me. Went for one thing but my dentist made time to make sure she covered everything with me. I'm very impressed! I definately won't be worried about coming back next time!
I went there for a dental clean paid 45 and on the day was told I needed a check up in order to get the clean, not thinking anything of it 3 months later got a fine saying I falsely claimed I was on Tax Credits. I called the NHS penalty notice and they have no record of me signing anything. the dentist said they would sort it out 4 weeks later the fine was increased as they did nothing!! I am an NHS worker and I have to say there is a minority of youngsters coming into the field that are not professional and do not carry out the thorough process of checking in/out of patients and take a very laid back approach to their job. Once i have sorted out this mess I will change dentists!!
My mum went to this dentist because her tooth was hurting, they told her that she needed 3 teeth out (which had nothing to do with the hurting tooth) she then went back to have the teeth out and had a very traumatic experience, the dentist couldnt get her tooth out was pulling and pulling then cut her gum to try and get the tooth out, and cut her lip in the process my mum was screeming in pain she injected her 5 times with the numbing stuff and wanted to cut even deeper cos she couldnt get it out, a second dentist then came in and managed to get the tooth out, my Mum was told that the dentist had cut very deep and she may need to go to hospital to have stitches.. 4 days later my mum is still in pain and has a very bad infection where they took the tooth out. She will never attend this dentist ever again! It doesnt even deserve 1 star.
I have to date had no problems with this dental practice. Now it's not the most modern looking of environments but the rooms are clean and organised. What's important to me are the people. It is very important that they are polite and professional. I found Croydon Dental Practice after having a really negative experience from two previous dental surgeries. Being a nurse myself I expect a high quality of care and I do understand practice limitations. Nothing is more reassuring than having a professional take the time to listen to your medical history, address your concerns and promptly fix your problem in a timely manner. On this occasion my filling fell out leaving me in excruciating pain as my nerves were exposed. The Dentist made a quick assessment and filled the hole taking time to explain his concerns regarding the filling and my options for future treatment. I did not require an injection thankfully. I dreaded this more than anything so it was such a relief to have had it done in one appointment. I am so grateful. Positive experience from reception to completion .
