Not a bad boozer. Indeed for a short while you forget that you are in Croydon. A great selection of ale (cask and barrel) and scrumpy cider!
Nice selection of booze. Annoyingly I missed the craft on draft and they didn't advertise it very clearly so I ended up with a pint I didn't really want. I was livid. I calmed down though, had a taste and realised it was not bad. So all in all a pretty good experience. Ended up getting drunk.
Good if you have enough time. I like this pub, nice and relaxed, but so is the service. Bar service can be painfully slow, even when its not busy, and always have to wait 45 minutes or so for food, but its mostly been nice, sometimes a bit cold, which is strange when you have to wait so long for it.
Had an amazing time at The Clean Slate Protocol event held by two members of staff. It's good to feel appreciated as a regular and to see older faces return. Would love to see more events like this that makes a pub feel like it used to and not something that is only about making sales. Good to see members of staff take it upon themselves to make a difference and treat their regulars with recognition.
A nice alternative bar with a pool table. Good crowd of people, no one's violent or starts a fight, they do food which is bar food but still tasty and looks good. Noise level is fine and the staff are rockers!
