Disappointed by this pharmacy. Me and my partner were looking for a particular over the counter medicine that the NHS website suggested for my illness, we called the pharmacy to check they had it in stock but when we went to buy it, the pharmacist told us it couldn't be used for what I wanted to use it for. We were confused but left anyway, checked the NHS website again when we got home and it clearly stated it could be used. We called again to ask about it as we said the NHS website suggested it and the pharmacist told us that it was a different type of medication that could be used, that they didn't stock. I was lucky enough to get a phone appointment with my doctor the same day and asked him about it, and he said there was absolutely no issue with me using the medication for what I'd hoped to use it for. My partner went back to the pharmacy to get the medication after this, and asked for it without asking for their advice this time. He was given a different medication by the person behind the till and was told it was the same thing, but then after buying it read the ingredients which didn't include what we needed it to include. He brought it back and was given what we asked for, it was more expensive so he had to pay more towards it, but they wouldn't let him pay on his card for it and told him he'd have to go and get cash out instead. In the end we finally got what we wanted, opened the box and read the leaflet to find the leaflet directly stated that it could be used for what I wanted to use it for. Concerned that the pharmacist didn't know this and didn't think to check when we told her the NHS website suggested it, and concerning we were given something different to what we asked for and got told it was the same thing. The pharmacy seems well stocked, but I wouldn't suggest it if you need medical advice!

Mixed reviews about this place. Service is hit and miss. I went out of my to support a local independent and not give my custom to the Boots and Superdrugs of this world. When the elders are in, its great service and they will do what they can to help you Every so often they have in these young ones who don't have a clue. With the exception of the young Chinese guy and the two senior Asian guys, all the other "pharmacists" who have appeared should really go back to customer service school. They let down what used to be a great pharmacy.

It's been my pharmacy dispenser for the last 3 years. No complaints so far.

Not the best pharmacy I have ever been too. I had a insect bite on my hand and asked for advice for what to you use I was told just go to the doctor. A little annoyed as it was only a bit which it turned out some cream would have sorted. Won't be going there again, boots is up the road. I'd recommended there.

They dont provide medicines you are prescribed instead they substitute for cheaper non brands which Im pretty sure they are not allowed to do, if a GP Specifies a brand then they should provide it.They gave me 20 of my 150 odd tablets which I have 2 of a day of and that means I cannot start them because they claimed it would take every weeks to order them inIm the past I have been given less tablets then preserved which again I think is unlawful so I have to count the tabletsIve had other customers personal information such as prescriptions end up in with my prescription packetI think they should be investigate because something isnt right here I know larchwood isnt perfect but they dont treat you as badly as Claires does so I wont be returning here after I collect the medicines owed to me To be left 2 weeks feeling unwel because they cant provide you with medcine is wrong and immoral They should tell you this so you can go elsewhere, my only other choice would be to go see gp and tell them that Claires cant get my tablets and then go elsewhere because Claires robbed me of the choice to take my prescription elsewhere by keeping me in the dark This is the second worst pharmacy Ive come across in my life and thats saying something
