Liked the food. Much to my disappointment, I oreded half duck which comes out in quarters. The second quarter we couldn't eat so we had it packed for takeaway. Got home and there was no duck just the salad they served. Very disappointed. They probably reused it for another table. Also expensive. Only the location is what makes this place busy. I felt like I was being rushed out. I may give them another try.
Nice and friendly place. Great food and vibe. We have been here a few many times now.. the latest being for the new year eve party celebrations. Well recommended
Don't know how to make a hot curry but otherwise quite decent food and although the menu seems expensive portion sizes are suitably large.Biggest problem was the service, it was hard work at every stage of the process to get attention. Not a single smile, it felt like they didn't want you there. There are many good small curry houses that look after you properly so I wouldn't come back to this place. Also first time I've had mini popadoms out of a packet in a restaurant! Bizarre.
We ate here on a Friday evening after deciding to go at short notice. As many other reviews mention, the service is not very good, but the food was lovely. We didn't seem to have one particular waiter or waitress, poppadoms arrived long before dips, had to ask more than once for our drinks. Had to ask for someone to take our order. Most of the waiting staff seemed young and inexperienced but there were more than enough of them. Just poor co-ordination and training.Food, on the other hand, was very good. Most of the dishes were heavily spiced which was fine for me but might be different for someone with a more delicate palate. It was good to taste dishes not on the average Indian menu such as deep fried crispy okra, and the curries didnt taste as artificial and sweet as those from the average take-away.Cocktails and lamb chops were delish!
An interesting mix of Chinese and Indian food on offer. Wheelchair accessible but unsure if there is an accessible toilet. Staff a little stand offish, just not a particularly friendly feel to the place. Lovely decor, I think it used to be the departure lounge of the old Croydon airport.
